The original Bubble Shooter was developed for Microsoft Windows back in 2000. It is thanks to this game that we have all the fun and addicting new variations of it that you see on this site.

The object of Bubble Shooter is to match 3 or more bubbles of the same color until you completely clear the screen. You use your mouse to aim and shoot. Every five times you fail to make a 3-way match, more bubbles are added and scrambled about the screen. The bottom left corner shows you how many misses you have left as well as the color of the next bubble on deck.

This game is perfect for beginners and children because it is not timed so you are not rushed. Also, rather than having multiple levels, this game is one long puzzle. It can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours to beat the game.

The first time you win is a great feeling. However, after beating it a couple times it is time to move on to other bubble shooter games. You cannot win prizes playing the original Bubble Shooter, but it is good practice to prepare for them.

Bubble Shooter Tips

• Use the walls for bank shots to get those hard to reach bubbles. Keep in mind that the bubbles will bounce off the walls at the same angle they hit them at.

• This game requires persistence. Not getting sloppy is one of the keys to success.

• Once you get some breathing room, concentrate on eliminating one or two colors. Once you clear all bubbles of a specific color, they will no longer replenish.
